First EHPU TOP 7 for Women announced.
Three players from Györ are represented on the first ever EHPU TOP 7 for Women. Stine Bredal Oftedal, Yvette Broch and Nora Mørk are all among the players’ favorites on the EHPU TOP 7 for Women for the 2017/2018 season.
– For the first time, European handballers have voted the Team of the Year for Women – and we are proud to announce the players’ favorites, says EHPU President, Michael Sahl Hansen.
The European Handball Players Union (EHPU) has invited players from all member countries and from clubs participating in the European Cups to vote for EHPU TOP 7 – Team of the Year for Women. Now the seven player favorites are official.
– The trophies will be handed to the players who are present during Final 4 in Budapest this weekend. EHPU Top 7 for Men will be announced during Final 4 in Cologne at the end of May, EHPU Board Member, Joachim Walltin, says.
Norwegian National team captain and Györ playmaker, Stine Bredal Oftedal, is one of the players on EHPU TOP 7.
– I am extremely proud of being chosen to the EHPU TOP 7 team by my colleagues in Europe. I am very happy for this award, it is a great honor that the votes come from my colleagues, says Bredal Oftedal.

Goalkeeper: Amandine Leynaud, HC Vardar.
Left back: Cristina Neagu, CSM Bucuresti.
Centre back/playmaker: Stine Oftedal Bredal, Györi Audi ETO KC.
Right back: Nora Mørk, Györi Audi ETO KC.
Left wing: Siraba Dembele, Rostov-Don.
Right wing: Iuliia Managrova, Rostov-Don.
Pivot: Yvette Broch, Györi Audi ETO KC.
EHPU was founded in 2008 and today represents over 1350 male and female handball players. EHPU aim to safeguard the players’ interests and rights at the overall level.
